Christmas pictures

The munchkins had a good Christmas! They told me thank you for the gifts about a million times! It was actually kind of funny how many times they said thank you. So here are some pictures of them on Christmas morning, messy hair and all.

Bowling before Christmas

Bowling before Christmas.
What else are we suppose to do with all this cold weather and rain? Bowl, of course. The kids had tons of fun this day. Miranda joined us too.
Bumpers are a bowlers best friend, with out them, it would have been gutter city. West ended up winning the first round. Miranda won the second round. The ball seemed way too heavy for Naomi.  So, it seems as though we are going to buy bowling shoes for the kids, since it's something inexpensive to do when it's raining out.

I knew it was cold!

It rained for about three days with few breaks and was freezing cold. I knew I wasn't exaggerating, just look at these pictures of our local mountains behind our house.  The mountains were filled with snow, very picturesque.
I know these aren't the greatest of pictures, I took them very fast when I was out shopping all four of the kids. Yes, I said four. I adopted Lor for the day, Christa was feeling sick, so Lor joined us on our excursions for the day. We had fun, she did very well, considering how many stores we went to.

Rain, Rain go away come back another day.

For the past three days we have had some form of rain or really cold weather.  I am not complaining about the rain or really caring if it goes away or stays, the title was just a really cute song with having to do with the rain.
The rain is not so bad, it's the coldness that came with the rain, and me not being able to wear my sandals/flip flops any more. I hate having to wear socks or anything like tennis shoes. Miranda is the opposite she loves her van shoes.
But, there are a few good things about the rain, for instance, I can sleep in,  I don't have to rush to get ready and I can stay in my pj's all day (since I don't go back to work until Jan.5Th). The best thing of all, is that my mom makes burritos with fresh homemade tortillas. And they are so good! I guess rainy cold days aren't so bad after all.
P.S. MooShoo the cat likes her burritos too.

The Tale of the Tooth That Wouldn't Come Out.

For the last week Naomi has had a loose tooth that just would not come out. She tried eating sticky things, hard things, anything to get this tooth out. But, the tooth was determined to stay. Every night she would come in my room with the floss, so we could tie it around the tooth, in hopes of pulling it out. This went on until last night. That little tooth was hanging on by one root. I truthfully, wasn't going to do this anymore. It was taking an emotional toll on both of us. So, last night while watching TV and tying the floss around the tooth, I pulled the final pull. And out popped the tooth. It was like she had her arm cut off, tears were relentless. Finally, all calmed down and she drew a picture for the tooth fairy and wrote her a letter and off to bed she went. What an ordeal that was. I wonder how loose the other tooth is? I hope it falls out much easier than the last.

On a Christmas Tree Hunt!!

It all began Sunday afternoon, 2 Christmas Tree Farms later and finally ending up at Home Depot! The picture with Mike and Naomi, was at the 2nd Farm. We started our search in Yorba Linda because we were out there running errands and Naomi had to stop to look at the trees. The average price of a tree there was$69.00. No thank you is what we said. The picture of Nathan was at our 3rd stop, HOME DEPOT. Too Funny! We found the perfect small 6 foot Noble Fur, for $19.99 can't beat that.
I guess I should of dressed the kids up and took the perfect picture, but this is them in all their munchkin like glory. Maybe I'll dress them up and stick them in front of the decorated tree when we are done. Did you see Nathan? He has a small mustache now. eek. I almost have a highschooler on my hands...that is a whole other blog!
Well, I am off to decorate the Christmas tree now. The Munchkins are very excited!!

Paul Frank Warehouse Sale!!!

I got a Julius washcloth!!!! He is adorable! And he's all mine!!!
The sale was fun, a bit crazy, with all the bags of stuff people were carrying and wacking me with. (oh, I think that was just Miranda hitting me with her bag). Luckily,I printed out my pass b/c Miranda didn't. But, we walked right in. No waiting in lines. I bet the people in line were so mad.(it was a long line) We even went in earlier that scheduled!!! It was fun, I'd do it again. I got plenty of Sock Monkeys, which are cute too. It was a good day over all, except one of my puppets that I bought, never made it in my bag. I think the guy accidentally put it in the go back pile! oh well, I think I got something extra anyways!
oh by the way, Miranda the thing you got as your free gift would make a great x-mas gift for me!Come on-I'll even trade you for something else.....

Woohoo off for 4 Weeks!!!!!

Today, I found out that I have been over working, or working too many days. Well, luckily I found out in time, because I was planning on working all next week. But, it turns out, I am off all next week. YEAH!!!!!! (so, if there are any of you friends out there that would like to get together somewhere for lunch (JUDY), give me a call. We can even go munchkin friendly, like Chuck E Cheese). Don't get me wrong about work, I appreciate the blessing that I have, I also see it as a blessing to get an extra week off. I think Grandma needed it. I think the Munchkins were driving her a little bonkers. Plus, I think the Munchkins actually missed me. (P.S. That's not me, hehehe)

The Joys of the Christmas Tree

As Christmas gets closer, I know it's time to buy "THE TREE". I always put this off as long as I can. I think if I was single and didn't have any kids, I'd probably buy a little tree that I could set on a table. I truly, only like the Christmas tree, because of how it makes my house smell. It is so nice to come home to the sweet smell of the pine needles.

But, I dislike everything else about the tree, the hassle of putting ornaments on it and lights too. Having to pull all the junk out of the attic, which is always full of dust. Then, my tree no matter how much water I give it, dries out before Christmas ever comes. ( any advice for this problem?)Then I am left with pine needles all over the floor. Oh, and I have a new problem this year, POO POO. She is a curious little kitten. She is going to be all over that tree. It is as bad as having a toddler. How many ornaments will break this year?

Luke and Christa offered to sell me their artificial tree, but that is sad. I'd rather just not have a tree at all. I do the Christmas tree, for the kids, they love it. So, I sacrifice all my unhappiness with the darn tree just to make them happy and see the smiles on their faces.

Tom's Farm,The Koi, and The Munchkins

The Koi Fish at Tom's Farm are crazy. One of our favorite things to do at Tom's Farm is to get fresh bread. Well, while we were there one day, we walked to the Koi pond to look at them. And while we were looking at the fish one of the kids dropped a piece of bread into the pond. The Koi gobbled it up. But wait, they just didn't gobble it up they attacked it! It was like they hadn't eaten anything in about a year. The munchkins found this hysterical. Now every time we go to Tom's Farm, the kids like to stop by the pond, and see if the Koi will gobble up their bread like they did that one day.
