A good day

I may not know what I am doing next year but my sister got hired today. She is now a full time contracted teacher! What a blessing this is for the family. She will no longer have to do all the work a normal teacher does with the pay of a sub teacher. The Lord provides.
I am sure she already has her first pay check spent, I know I did when I got my first real job.
Aaah, now I just need to figure out what I am meant to do. Any ideas? Ahh, never mind. I filled out an application for an Infant care provider with the district today. The closing date is about a week away, so hopefully I'll get an interview. I guess I'll let you know.
My brother got back from Mexico late last night, all I can say is that our house is very quiet. I am glad they got back safely.

Pictures from my Twilight Party

It's been a long time!

Wow, I have no idea how long it's been since I've written on my blog. I want to write more! Things have been so busy around here. School has ended and another job has ended too. I am thankful for the year ending but wondering what the next year will hold for my family and I.
I really have no desire to go back to what I was doing. I suppose all my career choices will include working with kids in one form or another. But, I am ready for something new and different.
I wish I could come up with a good business idea. I'd love to own my own business. My friend said I need to go in the party planning business. She said this after coming to my annual Twilight party. It's true, I love party planning, and to do that for a job would be awesome. I had so much more ideas for that party but was on a limited budget. But, I guess she had a good time, and enjoyed all my hard work. Did I fail to say that our invitations were awesome? Well, they were! My sister personalized each and every one of them for every girl invited. I'll have to post a picture of one of them. I am already thinking of ideas for the next party, but that is still awhile away. But, if I start now I could be very creative!
Since we've last spoken, my family and I have been to Palm Desert on a mini vacation. Grandma and Grandpa Georgia came out to visit us. We had a great time with them. We had tiny tea, ate at a fancy restaurant (when in doubt pinky out), went to Knott's Berry Farm. I saved the best for last! We saw Jim Gaffigan at Pechanga!!!! He was hilarious!! I loved it!! We had a great time! HOT POCKETS!! That was our running joke the rest of the vacation.
I am currently watching my 4 year old niece while her parents are on vacation in Mexico! Which means I am going to need one more vacation before the next school year starts!
Aaah, I think I caught everyone up to speed on the things that have been happening! I am going to try very hard to stop in daily, to tell you something fun, sad, interesting that has happened throughout the day. Maybe I'll leave a recipe behind of something I made during the week or plan to make. I'll let you know how it goes. Anyway, it is nice being back! leave a comment and let me know you are out there! I'd love to hear from you!
I leave a few pictures as parting gifts! Have a nice week!

Rain, rain and more rain!

With all this rain we have been getting Naomi hasn't been able to ride her new bike a whole lot. I think we need to plan for a bike ride once the rain stops and the kids get over their annoying colds. But, I love her bike! It's perfect for her, it's not pink and doesn't have any peace signs on it. Those are two things she dislikes the most!
